MOUNTING A PIGEON DETERRENT ONTO AN I-BEAM
HOW TO MOUNT A PIGEON DETERRENT ONTO AN I-BEAM
An I-beam is a steel joist that requires you to use a suitable fastening system. You have several options for installing your pigeon deterrent on an I-beam frame: mounting with an adhesive or using clips, such as our tailor-made Oisiclip solution.
MOUNTING YOUR PIGEON DETERRENT ON AN I-BEAM WITH THE SUITABLE ADHESIVE
Whether the bases of our spikes are made of PVC (Standard line) or stainless steel (Premium line), they can be glued onto an I-beam using a suitable adhesive (silicone or polyurethane). To do so, you merely need to apply a thin line of adhesive all along the edge of the deterrent base and then mount it directly onto the structural steelwork. As they are very flexible, the strips can be adjusted to perfectly fit the shape of the joist.
When using an adhesive for mounting, the surface must be clean and grease-free to guarantee that your strip will adhere.
However, there’s an easier way to mount bird repellents on an I-beam. Choose a model from our Premium line so you can use our OISICLIP fasteners. These are flat clips that directly slide onto the base of your spikes and then mounted to the I-beam with a simple gesture. The clips in our Oisiclip line are made of stainless steel and are guaranteed not to rust.
